This vial is sold as HGH 10 IU, a freeze-dried (lyophilized) powder for laboratory research. HGH (human growth hormone, or somatropin) is a 191-amino-acid protein hormone made by the pituitary gland.12 Licensed somatropin medicines are prescription biologics in the US.13 At the WHO conversion of 3.0 IU per mg, 10 IU equals about 3.3 mg of somatropin.45

Bulk and wholesale orders

Labs that need bulk HGH, or an HGH supplier for repeat research orders, can apply for a wholesale account. HGH wholesale terms are confirmed on application.

Questions about HGH

About HGH

Somatropin acts on receptors on many cell types, including cartilage, bone, muscle, liver and fat cells.12 Some, but not all, of its effects run through IGF-1, which the liver and other tissues make in response.122 Licensed recombinant somatropin, such as Genotropin, has the same amino acid sequence as growth hormone from the pituitary.1

This page lists HGH for sale as a 10 IU research vial in the growth hormone peptides range. The HGH price is $35 per vial. When you buy HGH online here, you receive the freeze-dried powder only; diluent and lab supplies are sold separately.

In diagnosed growth hormone deficiency, the Genotropin label reports less body fat and more lean mass, and a 2011 Endocrine Society guideline calls treatment risks low.113 In healthy adults, two systematic reviews of randomized trials found about 2 kg more lean mass but more side effects.1415 Read What is HGH? for the full picture before you buy HGH for a study.

Research highlights

  • Adults with diagnosed deficiency (label, six randomized trials, 172 adults): lean body mass rose and body fat and waist size fell after 6 months, compared with placebo.1
  • Healthy older adults (2007 systematic review, 220 people given GH, mean age 69): fat mass fell 2.1 kg and lean mass rose 2.1 kg, with no significant change in body weight.14
  • Healthy young adults (2008 systematic review, 303 fit people given GH, mean age 27): lean mass rose 2.1 kg, but strength and exercise capacity did not clearly improve.15
  • Recreational athletes (randomized placebo-controlled trial, 96 adults, 8 weeks): sprint capacity rose 3.9%, other performance measures did not change significantly, and the gain was not maintained 6 weeks after stopping.16
  • Critically ill adults (two randomized trials, 532 patients, 1999): in-hospital death rates were 39% versus 20% and 44% versus 18% with high-dose GH versus placebo.17
  • Large burns (2014 Cochrane review, 13 small trials, 701 people): in two trials, adult burn wounds healed about 9 days sooner, but high blood sugar was more common in adults (risk ratio 2.43).18

Regulatory status

Somatropin has been FDA approved since 1987 and is sold on prescription under brands including Genotropin, Norditropin, Omnitrope and Serostim.119 Approved uses include growth failure in children, adult growth hormone deficiency, HIV wasting and short bowel syndrome, and a prescriber sets and adjusts each dose.119 FDA has not approved it for anti-aging.14

Under 21 U.S.C. 333(e), knowingly distributing HGH for any human use other than HHS-authorized, physician-ordered treatment of a disease or recognized medical condition carries up to 5 years in prison, or 10 if a minor is involved.11 In an August 2026 warning letter to an online peptide seller, FDA said "research use only" labels did not stop it from finding products were meant for human use; that letter did not name HGH.20 WADA bans growth hormone at all times (2026 list, class S2.2.3).21 Every vial is labeled: For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.

Handling and storage

Licensed somatropin labels describe gentle mixing: run the diluent down the side of the vial to prevent foaming, then swirl until the powder dissolves.10 Shaking clouds the solution and, per the Genotropin label, may denature the protein; that label says to use the solution only if it is clear and colorless.101 Mixed licensed products keep 14 to 28 days refrigerated, depending on product and diluent.101 The reconstitution guide covers the lab steps, the reconstitution calculator does the concentration math, and How to store peptides covers storage.

Frequently asked questions

Where does HGH ship from?

Orders ship from the USA and Canada to addresses across the United States. The selector at the top of this page lists each origin for the 10 IU vial with its own stock status, so you can see which origin will fill your order before checkout. Delivery details are on the shipping page.

How many mg is 10 IU of HGH?

About 3.3 mg. The WHO International Standard for somatropin converts at 3.0 International Units per mg, and the EU Omnitrope label states that 3.3 mg corresponds to 10 IU.45 US labels such as Genotropin's write amounts in mg.1 Because 10 IU is this vial's listed strength, 3.3 mg is a calculated equivalent, not a measured fill.

How should HGH be stored when it arrives?

Licensed somatropin labels are the closest published reference: unmixed Genotropin and Zomacton powders are kept in the refrigerator, away from light.110 One licensed format, Genotropin MiniQuick, may stay at or below 25 °C (77 °F) for up to 3 months before mixing.1 These are limits for licensed products, not tested limits for this vial.

Is there a certificate of analysis for this HGH?

When lab documents are published for a lot, they appear on the lab results page. For a protein hormone, a useful certificate goes beyond HPLC purity: its mass result should match intact somatropin, about 22,124 daltons, and it should say whether potency in IU, sterility and bacterial endotoxin were tested.1

Is this HGH a prescription medicine?

No. It is a research-labeled vial sold for laboratory use, not a licensed medicine. Licensed somatropin products such as Genotropin are prescription-only biologics.17 Under 21 U.S.C. 333(e), knowingly distributing HGH, or possessing it with intent to distribute, for any human use other than HHS-authorized, physician-ordered treatment of a disease or recognized medical condition is a federal crime.11 The terms for research orders are in our research use policy.
