Research use only

Every product D2C Peptides sells is sold for laboratory research use only. That covers single peptides, blends, the GLP-1 research vials and the lab supplies. Each product page carries the label: For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.

No product on this site is offered for use in people or for veterinary care, or as a dietary supplement, a cosmetic or a food. "Laboratory research" here means in vitro work, such as test-tube and cell studies, and studies in laboratory research animals. Qualified people must carry it out, under the rules and approvals that apply to that work.

The federal rule behind the label

A federal rule allows a new drug intended solely for tests in vitro or in laboratory research animals to be shipped if its label carries a caution that it is for investigational use only in laboratory research animals or for tests in vitro, and is not for use in humans.1 The shipper must use due diligence to make sure the buyer regularly carries out such tests and that the shipment will actually be used for them.1

A label does not settle the question on its own. In warning letters to online peptide sellers, FDA cited examples from each seller's product labeling, "including on your website", as evidence of what the products were intended for.23 Despite "research use only" statements and disclaimers of human and veterinary use on that labeling, FDA found that evidence from the sellers' own websites established that the products were intended to be drugs for human use.23

For that reason this policy applies to everything we publish and every reply we send, not only to the words on a vial.

Who may buy

You may buy from us only if all of the following are true:

  • You are 21 years of age or older. The site asks every visitor to confirm this, and that every product is sold for research use, before entering.
  • You are buying for laboratory research that you or your organization regularly carries out, and you confirm at checkout that the order is for laboratory research use only.
  • The people who will handle the products are trained to work with research chemicals in a suitable laboratory.
  • Buying, holding and using the products is lawful where you are and where the research takes place.

Wholesale applicants give the same confirmation on the wholesale application. We may ask any buyer for details that support it, such as the name of the lab or institution and the kind of research the products are for.

What each buyer agrees to

By placing an order, you agree that you will:

  1. Use the products only in laboratory research, and never give, sell or supply them to anyone for use in people, or in animals outside that research.
  2. Not repackage, relabel or resell any product as a drug, a supplement, a cosmetic or a food, or with directions for human use.
  3. Store, handle and dispose of the products, needles and syringes as your laboratory's rules and local law require.
  4. Keep the products away from anyone who is not trained to handle them.
  5. Follow the federal, state and local laws and the institutional rules that apply to your work, including any that restrict a particular compound.

What we do not provide

We do not tell anyone how much of a product to use, how often to use it, or how to give it to a person or an animal. We do not offer "protocols", cycle plans or stacking advice, and we do not say that any product treats, cures or prevents a disease.

Our education pages report what published sources say about each compound, with the source and the type of evidence named. Where a page reports a dose, it describes an FDA label or a published study; it is not an instruction. Our calculators do arithmetic on the numbers you enter and never suggest an amount. The site's chat assistant follows the same rules and points any other question to our contact page. Questions about your own health belong with a licensed clinician, as the medical disclaimer explains.

Orders we refuse or cancel

We may refuse or cancel an order, or decline or close a wholesale account, when:

  • an order, an order note or a message suggests that a product is meant for a person, or for an animal outside laboratory research;
  • a buyer asks for dosing, injection or "protocol" advice for themselves or someone else;
  • a buyer is under 21, or will not confirm that the order is for research use;
  • we ask for details of the research and do not receive them; or
  • we believe the sale would break a law or regulation.

The terms of service explain what happens to any payment for a cancelled order. Questions about this policy go through the contact page.
