Peptides in Desert Hot Springs, CA
Orders of research peptides and lab supplies reach Desert Hot Springs, a city of 34,009 people (July 2025 estimate) in the northwest part of the Coachella Valley, from the USA and Canada.12 Two NOAA stations about 9 miles away frame its climate: the Palm Springs station, to the south, averages 122.7 days a year at 100 °F or hotter, and Morongo Valley N, to the north, averages 10.6.3456
Shipping to Desert Hot Springs
Desert Hot Springs orders ship from the USA and Canada and follow the shipping policy used for every order across the United States. Seasonal homes are few here. The 2020 Census counted 987 vacant housing units in the city, only 381 of them held for seasonal, recreational or occasional use.13 That is a small slice of the city's roughly 12,500 housing units in the 2020 to 2024 American Community Survey.14 The returns page covers damaged deliveries, and the contact page handles questions about an order.
Peptides searched in Desert Hot Springs
In the search data behind this site, no product is paired with the city's name, so this page features none. Farther down the valley, in Palm Springs and Palm Desert, the product searched with the city name is semaglutide. For a first look at the field, What are research peptides? explains the category, Peptides A to Z has a profile for each compound, and Peptide supplies explained covers the lab supplies. The full catalog is in the peptide shop.
Keeping peptides cool in Desert Hot Springs
The city has no NOAA normals station of its own, but two about 9 miles away bracket it. The Palm Springs station, 9.2 miles south at about 425 feet, has a July normal high of 107.8 °F and a July normal low of 78.5 °F.36 Its normal highs top 100 °F from June through September, peaking at 107.8 °F in July and 107.5 °F in August, and it averages 183.0 days a year at or above 90 °F.34 Morongo Valley N, 9.0 miles north at about 3,145 feet, is much milder, with a July normal high of 93.8 °F and a January high of 59.3 °F.5 The ground at the city's Census internal point is about 1,133 feet above sea level, roughly 700 feet above the Palm Springs station.1563 Because the city's own summer figures are not measured in this data, the Palm Springs numbers are the cautious ones to plan around.
Moisture is the other risk once a parcel is inside. Peptides tend to be hygroscopic, meaning they pull water out of the air.1617 Bachem, a peptide maker, advises letting a cold container reach room temperature in a desiccator before opening it.1617 Moisture taken up from the air lowers the peptide content of the powder and may also lower its stability.16 GenScript adds that peptides containing Asp, Glu, Lys, Arg or His are prone to absorbing moisture and should sit in a desiccator in a tightly capped vial.18 Both makers say to warm the vial before opening, take out what is needed quickly and reseal the container tightly.161718 The storage guide covers the rest.
About Desert Hot Springs
Desert Hot Springs had an estimated 34,009 residents on July 1, 2025, up about 4.6% from its 2020 estimates base of 32,528; the 2020 Census counted 32,512.119 The city covers 30.126 square miles of land and 0.359 square miles of water.6 A 2007 Riverside LAFCO review places it in the northwest portion of the Coachella Valley, just east of the San Gorgonio Pass.2 The Mission Creek Indian Reservation lies to the north and Joshua Tree National Park to the northeast.2
The city sits on the San Andreas fault zone.20 A 2009 USGS-led study in the Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America calls the Mission Creek and Banning faults two of the zone's principal strands at Desert Hot Springs. It found the Mission Creek fault zone acts as a groundwater barrier, with the top of the water table varying by 60 meters (about 197 feet) in depth across it.20 Tap water comes from Mission Springs Water District, which residents voted into being in 1953, 246 to 9, as the Desert Hot Springs County Water District.11 Per the 2019 LAFCO review, its supply is all groundwater from its own wells, mainly nine active wells in the Mission Creek Subbasin, serving about 40,000 people.11
Homesteader Cabot Yerxa arrived in 1913.12 In 1914 he dug into a hill to build Eagle's Nest Cabin, a 10 by 20 foot stone cabin that the city calls the area's first permanent building.12 Around 1941 he began a Hopi-style pueblo and worked on it for more than twenty years.12 The city says it is four stories high, with 150 windows and 65 doors, and it stands today as Cabot's Pueblo Museum.12 The city's history puts the first resident, Hilda M. Gray, on a homestead just south of what is now known as Two Bunch Palms, and Yerxa's own 160-acre homestead next to the palms.12
The population is young and largely Latino: the median age is 34.5, and 63.6% of residents are Hispanic or Latino.21 Of residents 5 and older, 53.3% speak a language other than English at home, and 25.1% of residents were born outside the U.S.22 The largest job groups are educational services, health care and social assistance (19.1%) and arts, entertainment, recreation, accommodation and food services (16.0%).23 The UC Riverside School of Medicine, UCR says, was created to address a shortfall of health care professionals in Inland Southern California, and it took its first students in 2013.24 Its research building is on the UCR campus in the city of Riverside, whose center is about 49 miles west of Desert Hot Springs'.246

Which ZIP codes cover Desert Hot Springs?
Mostly two. By land area in the Census Bureau's 2020 ZIP Code Tabulation Areas, about 65% of the city lies in 92240 and about 25% in 92282. Smaller parts fall in 92258 (about 6%) and in 92241 and 92262 (each under 1%), and about 3% lies outside any ZIP area.7 Orders to every one of them ship from the USA and Canada, under the same shipping policy as orders across the United States.
Is there a hospital in Desert Hot Springs?
Not according to federal data: none of the 17 Riverside County hospitals in the CMS hospital file, queried in October 2026, is in the city.8 The closest of them is Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, whose center is about 11 miles south. California's HCAI lists it as an open general acute care hospital with 385 licensed beds and a comprehensive emergency department.869 Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, about 15 miles away center to center, is licensed for 463 beds with a basic emergency department.106
How did Desert Hot Springs get its name?
From its hot springs. A 2019 review by Riverside LAFCO (the Local Agency Formation Commission) says early homesteaders prospecting for water found the hot springs that made the area famous.11 The first subdivisions came in 1940, when L. W. Coffee started the village he called Desert Hot Springs.11 The city incorporated on September 17, 1963.12 A 2007 LAFCO review said the city benefits economically from the springs and related tourism.2
