Sermorelin is a synthetic peptide that matches the first 29 amino acids of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), with an amidated end.1 It binds the GHRH receptor and prompts the pituitary gland to release growth hormone.222 This vial holds 10 mg of sermorelin as a freeze-dried powder for laboratory research. It is not currently FDA-approved: FDA withdrew its approvals for sermorelin (sold as Geref) in 2009.3

| Storage | In 1991 FDA approved a 24-month shelf life for the Geref diagnostic powder (50 mcg per vial) stored at 7 C.7 That figure applies only to Geref; no independent stability data were found for this vial. |
Labs that need a steady sermorelin supplier for larger quantities can apply for a wholesale account. Terms are confirmed on application.
Natural GHRH (growth hormone-releasing hormone) has 44 amino acids, and sermorelin copies the first 29.1 That fragment is the shortest synthetic piece that keeps the hormone's full biological activity, and in human studies it stimulated growth hormone (GH) secretion from the anterior pituitary.13 It binds the GHRH receptor and mimics the natural hormone.2 The GH it raises comes from the body's own pituitary, so sermorelin is a releasing signal, not growth hormone itself.22
The sermorelin for sale here is a 10 mg vial of freeze-dried powder for laboratory research. For the full background, side effects and study doses, read What is Sermorelin?
These human studies are small: the largest treated 110 children.14
FDA approved sermorelin acetate as Geref in 1990 as a diagnostic for testing the pituitary's GH release.203 A 1997 approval added a treatment for idiopathic GH deficiency in children with growth failure.83 The maker, EMD Serono, discontinued both products in 2008, and FDA withdrew both approvals effective June 18, 2009.3 In 2013 FDA determined that they were not withdrawn for reasons of safety or effectiveness.3 As of October 2026, Drugs@FDA lists both as discontinued with no label available, and DailyMed holds no sermorelin labels.8209
In a December 10, 2024 warning letter, FDA named an online seller's sermorelin among unapproved new drugs.10 It said labels reading "FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY" and "NOT INTENDED FOR HUMAN USE" did not change that, because the seller's website showed the products were intended for human use.10 Compounded sermorelin is not FDA-approved either.12 WADA's 2026 Prohibited List bans sermorelin at all times, in and out of competition.21
The vial holds a dry powder that is dissolved in a diluent before lab use. If you buy sermorelin online for a lab, plan these separate items with it: Bacteriostatic Water, a 3mL Syringe, Luer-Lok Tip with an 18G 1-Inch Needle, Insulin Syringes (Pack of 10) and Alcohol Swabs (Pack of 2). The sermorelin price, $70, covers the vial alone.
No independent stability data were found for this vial, so general storage steps are in How to store peptides. Mixing steps, the supplies and the concentration math are in How to reconstitute Sermorelin. The reconstitution calculator and peptide calculator do the arithmetic. For more research compounds, see all peptides for sale.
Here the 10 mg vial is listed from $70, and that covers the peptide only. Bacteriostatic water, syringes, needles and alcohol swabs are separate catalog items, each with its own page under Peptide supplies. The strength figure is the amount of peptide in the vial before any diluent is added. This page does not cover compounded prescription products.
This vial is sold for laboratory research and labeled for research use only. Drugs@FDA lists both Geref products as discontinued and DailyMed holds no sermorelin labels, so no FDA-approved sermorelin appears to be marketed in the US.8209 In a December 2024 warning letter, FDA called one online seller's research-labeled sermorelin an unapproved new drug, because its website showed the products were meant for people.10 Section 503A pharmacy compounding must be based on valid patient-specific prescriptions, and compounded drugs are not FDA-approved.1112
Orders ship across the United States. Shipping options and times are kept on the Shipping page rather than repeated here. The vial arrives as a dry powder with no diluent inside, so plan the bacteriostatic water and syringes with the order. Published storage data cover only the approved Geref product, so this page makes no shelf-life claim for this vial.
