Selank is a lab-made peptide of 7 amino acids (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro) built from tuftsin, a short fragment of human immunoglobulin G, with Pro-Gly-Pro added for stability.15 Russia registers it as a nonprescription anti-anxiety nasal drop, and it is not FDA-approved.68 Each vial holds 5 mg as a white freeze-dried (lyophilized) solid.4

| Storage | Peptide makers advise keeping freeze-dried peptides at -20 °C away from bright light, and letting a cold vial reach room temperature before opening it.2322 GenScript adds that peptides containing lysine or arginine, as Selank does, tend to absorb moisture and belong in a tightly capped vial kept in a desiccator.231 |
Labs that need a dependable Selank supplier for larger or repeat studies can apply for a wholesale account. Volume terms are confirmed on application.
Selank is a heptapeptide, a chain of 7 amino acids, designed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the V.V. Zakusov Research Institute of Pharmacology.5 It extends tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg), a fragment of the human immunoglobulin G heavy chain, with Pro-Gly-Pro to make the molecule more stable.5 Russia registers it as 0.15% nasal drops for adults with anxiety states.6 Here it is listed as a 5 mg research vial in the sleep and stress peptides range.
The human evidence is a handful of small Russian studies whose English abstracts omit doses, blinding and randomization.91011 A ClinicalTrials.gov search in October 2026 found no Selank trial.25 Read What is Selank? for the mechanism research, side effects and full source list.
Selank is not FDA-approved.8 FDA's list of compounding substances that may present significant safety risks shows selank acetate as a withdrawn nomination, warns of possible immune reactions from aggregation and impurities, and says FDA lacks important human safety information.16 A 2020 FDA warning letter said drugs a pharmacy compounded from Selank did not qualify for the compounding exemptions.17 Selank was not on the agenda when FDA's compounding advisory committee reviewed peptides in July 2026.18 WADA's 2026 Prohibited List does not name Selank, and reviews disagree on its status: a 2025 review rated it unclear, while a 2026 review says WADA prohibits it.20218 The List's class S0 bans substances not covered elsewhere that have no current government approval for human therapeutic use, and Russia has approved Selank.206
No label or published study found gives mixing steps for Selank powder.67 The Russian medicine needs none: it is a ready-made solution of 1.5 mg selank diacetate per mL with methylparaben as a preservative.76 For freeze-dried peptides in general, Bachem advises against storing them in solution and suggests frozen aliquots when a solution must be kept.22 The reconstitution guide sets out the lab steps, and how to store peptides covers freezer and fridge storage.
This page lists Selank for sale as a 5 mg vial of freeze-dried powder for laboratory research. Orders ship from the USA and Canada to addresses across the United States, and the selector at the top of the page shows stock for each shipping origin before checkout. Selank is not FDA-approved.8 In Russia it is a different finished product, nasal drops dispensed without a prescription.6
The Selank price starts at $25 for the 5 mg vial. Bacteriostatic water is not included and is listed separately with the other peptide supplies.4 Labs that need larger quantities can apply through the wholesale program, where volume terms are confirmed on application. Delivery details are on the shipping page.
Peptide makers ship freeze-dried peptides at room temperature and recommend a freezer for long-term storage, with a refrigerator at 4 °C acceptable for short-term use.22 The supplier's own figures give the Selank vial 36 months at -20 °C and 30 days at 2 to 8 °C; these are not published stability data.4 Once dissolved, peptides keep far less well than as powder.23
The lab results page explains what testing documentation the store provides. When you read a certificate, look past the purity figure. Bachem notes that a peptide powder above 95% pure by HPLC may still be only 70 to 90% peptide by weight, because counter-ions such as acetate and residual water make up the rest.24 The supplier does not state which salt form of Selank its vial holds.4
Preparing a freeze-dried vial for lab work calls for a diluent such as bacteriostatic water, a 3 mL Luer-Lok syringe to measure it and alcohol swabs for the stopper. The reconstitution calculator turns a chosen volume of diluent into a concentration. This describes bench work only, not use in people.
No. Every vial is labeled: For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. Selank is not FDA-approved, and FDA says it lacks important information on the safety of selank acetate given to people.816 In 2025, Health Canada warned that unauthorized injectable peptides seized from a Canadian seller, Selank among them, had not been assessed for safety, efficacy or quality.19
