Dosage information

CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin dosage

No dose of CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin is established for people, and no published human study has dosed the blend or CJC-1295 without DAC.131718 The figures on this page are what researchers gave in trials of CJC-1295 with DAC, a different form, and of ipamorelin given by vein to people or under the skin to rats.4710

No established dose

Three facts frame every number on this page.

  1. No human dosing study has been published for CJC-1295 without DAC or for CJC-1295 combined with ipamorelin, and FDA found no animal pharmacology study of the no-DAC form.131718 A 2026 primer mentions rodent results for the combination, but the steroid-model rat study that measured the same muscle outcome gave ipamorelin alone (Andersen 2001, below).1512
  2. The CJC-1295 in published human trials is the DAC form, and FDA says those results cannot be extrapolated to the form without DAC.1
  3. In people, ipamorelin has been given by vein, plus one nasal dose to a single volunteer in an anti-doping study.214 FDA found no human data for ipamorelin injected under the skin.2

FDA's review lists the wide range of doses quoted online, and a 2026 review stresses that such online regimens are not evidence-based.13 A 2026 primer for sports medicine physicians adds that the indications, dosing, frequency and duration of these peptides remain unknown.15

Doses used in published studies

Each row shows what one study gave, to whom and by which route. These figures describe the studies; they are not instructions.

Study Compound Who Route What was given Length
Teichman 2006, two phase 1 trials41 CJC-1295 with DAC Healthy adults aged 21 to 61 Under the skin Single doses from 30 to 250 mcg/kg in one trial; two or three doses of 20 to 60 mcg/kg, a week or two apart, in the other Single dose; 28 and 49 days
Ionescu and Frohman 200651 CJC-1295 with DAC 12 healthy men aged 20 to 40 Under the skin One dose of 60 mcg/kg (4 men) or 90 mcg/kg (8 men) Single dose, sampled 1 week later
ConjuChem phase 2, NCT0026752716 CJC-1295 with DAC Adults with HIV-associated visceral obesity Weekly injections Escalating over 3 weeks (60, 90 and 120 mcg/kg, or 60, 120 and 240 mcg/kg), with 9 more weeks planned Stopped in 2006; unpublished, known from anecdotal reports cited by FDA
Gobburu 19997 Ipamorelin Healthy men, 8 per dose level 15-minute IV infusion 4.21, 14.02, 42.13, 84.27 or 140.45 nmol/kg Single dose

NCT01280344, phase 29 Ipamorelin 320 adults after open bowel resection IV infusion 0.03 mg/kg twice daily, 0.06 mg/kg twice daily or 0.06 mg/kg three times daily, vs placebo Up to 10 days; no results posted
Johansen 199910 Ipamorelin Adult female rats Under the skin, three times daily 18, 90 or 450 mcg per day 15 days
Svensson 200011 Ipamorelin 13-week-old female rats Continuous pump under the skin 0.5 mg/kg per day 12 weeks
Andersen 200112 Ipamorelin 8-month-old female rats, some also given a steroid Under the skin, three times daily 100 mcg/kg 3 months

How to read these numbers

  • Weight-based amounts: every human figure above is per kilogram of body weight, and the studies measured hormone responses or recovery after surgery, not long-term outcomes.478
  • Different molecules, different timing: the DAC form had an estimated half-life of 5.8 to 8.1 days, and its trials spaced injections a week or more apart.4 No human half-life has been reported for CJC-1295 without DAC.3 For scale only, native GHRH(1-29) had a disappearance half-time of 4.3 minutes in 10 healthy men, and a version with just one of the four swaps (D-alanine at position 2) lasted 6.7 minutes.13
  • A short ipamorelin pulse: after a 15-minute IV infusion, growth hormone peaked at about 0.67 hours, ipamorelin's terminal half-life was about 2 hours, and growth hormone was very low again by 6 hours.72 In FDA's summary, the lowest dose produced negligible growth hormone and was left out of the analysis.2
  • Rat studies: the amounts given to rats describe those experiments only. All three used female rats, and one group was also given a steroid.101112

Product identity and dose

A dose is only as meaningful as the substance in the vial. FDA warns that inconsistent naming of CJC-1295 forms could lead to a person receiving a different substance than intended, and notes that research sellers do not say which form they sell: free base, acetate or TFA salt.1 Unknown powders seized by Danish customs proved to be analogs of ipamorelin and modified GRF 1-29 carrying an extra glycine, and the authors urged testing labs to update their methods.16

Frequently asked questions

What doses were used in research studies?

Studies of CJC-1295 with DAC gave healthy adults single, weekly or every-other-week injections under the skin of 20 to 250 mcg/kg.41 Ipamorelin was given by vein: once at 4.21 to 140.45 nmol/kg in healthy men, and 0.03 mg/kg twice daily after bowel surgery.78 No human study has dosed CJC-1295 without DAC or the blend, and none of these figures is a dose for people.121718

What is the half-life of CJC-1295 without DAC and ipamorelin?

No human half-life has been published for CJC-1295 without DAC.1 The DAC version had an estimated half-life of 5.8 to 8.1 days in healthy adults, but FDA says those data cannot be carried over to the no-DAC form.41 IV ipamorelin had a terminal half-life of about 2 hours in healthy men, and there are no human data for ipamorelin injected under the skin.72

Do doses from CJC-1295 with DAC trials apply to this blend?

No. The DAC form carries an albumin-binding linker that kept it in the blood for days, and FDA treats it as a different substance whose pharmacology cannot be extrapolated to CJC-1295 without DAC.14 The DAC trials also gave CJC-1295 alone, never with ipamorelin, so neither their amounts nor the spacing between injections describe this blend.45

Has ipamorelin been studied as an injection under the skin?

Not in people. FDA found no human pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic or safety data for ipamorelin under the skin; the human studies used IV infusions, plus one nasal dose given to a single volunteer in an anti-doping study.214 Under-the-skin dosing appears only in animal studies, such as rat studies with 15 days of injections three times daily or 12 weeks by continuous pump.1011
