A bulk order is many vials, so price it in milligrams. Start from the cost per mg of each vial size, then price the total the study needs.

Here is a worked example for a study that needs 300 mg. The numbers are examples, not our sizes or prices.

The larger vials save 300 and leave 14 fewer vials to label, log and store. When the total is not a whole number of vials, round up. Count the leftover milligrams as cost unless a later study will use them.

How to choose a retatrutide supplier

Retatrutide is still an investigational drug.⁴ It also goes by its development code, LY3437943, and PubChem titles its compound record "Triple G".⁷⁶ With several names in use, match listings and certificates by identifiers: CAS number 2381089-83-2, molecular formula C221H342N46O68 and a computed molecular weight of 4731 g/mol.⁷⁶

A good retatrutide supplier passes six checks:

1. A certificate for every lot. A sample certificate from another batch proves little. Ask for the certificate that matches each lot number in your order, with the lab's name, the test date and the methods.
2. A measured amount, not only purity. This is where products differ most. In a 2026 report in the journal Drug and Alcohol Review, three products sold as retatrutide in Australia, each labeled 10 mg, all contained retatrutide.¹ The measured amounts were 5.13 mg, 16.5 mg and 19.0 mg.¹ At the same price, the 5.13 mg vial cost about 1.95 times as much per mg as its label implied (10 divided by 5.13). The overfilled vials were no bargain either: a label that is off by 65% or 90% breaks every calculation built on it.
3. A record of what was not tested. The same report did not assess sterility or endotoxin contamination.¹ A certificate covers only the tests it reports, so note the gaps and ask about them.
4. Attention to contaminants and fakes. In June 2026, Victoria's Department of Health reported six cases of acute liver toxicity in Victoria linked to an unapproved peptide product labeled Retatrutide, and said the effects were possibly associated with a contaminant.⁸ On October 14, 2026, the MHRA and West Midlands Police seized more than 12,000 fake retatrutide and tirzepatide pens from an industrial unit in Birmingham.⁹
5. A clean regulatory record. FDA posts its warning letters online. Letters dated December 10, 2024 and March 31, 2026 went to sellers of research-labeled retatrutide.¹⁰¹¹¹² In each, FDA said the seller's own website showed the products were intended as drugs for people, despite research-only labels.¹⁰¹¹¹²

Bulk tirzepatide orders

For tirzepatide, an FDA label gives reference values: the Mounjaro label lists the formula C225H348N48O68 and a molecular weight of 4813.53 Da.¹³ A certificate's identity results can be checked against those values. The tirzepatide table above shows the cost per mg of each vial size.

Lots, storage and supplies at volume

Five things need planning as an order grows.

• Lots. A large order may ship from more than one lot. Record each lot number against its certificate, so any difference between lots can be traced in the results.
• Storage. No retatrutide product is approved, so no approved label gives mixing or storage directions for it.⁵⁴ Order only what the lab can store and use, and follow our guide on how to store peptides.
• Supplies. Diluent and other lab supplies are separate items. Count them per vial, add them to the quote, and price them from the supplies page.
• Receiving. Check each delivery against the order: vial count, strengths and lot numbers. Record the arrival date with each lot, so storage time is tracked from day one.
• Delivery timing. For a long study, ask whether a large order can ship in parts, so later vials spend less time in storage. Delivery details are on the shipping page.

Regulatory status

As of October 2026, FDA says retatrutide is not a component of any FDA-approved drug and has not been found safe and effective for any condition.⁵ Lilly, which is developing it, says it has not been approved by FDA or any other regulator and cannot be legally sold or marketed for human use.⁴ Lilly plans to submit retatrutide for US review in the first quarter of 2027 and says there is no guarantee it will be approved.⁴ In the UK, the MHRA says retatrutide is not authorized and that products sold as retatrutide outside legitimate clinical trials are being supplied illegally.⁹

In the US, tirzepatide is approved as the prescription medicines Mounjaro and Zepbound.¹⁴¹⁵ In an August 24, 2026 warning letter to a seller of research-use-only tirzepatide, FDA called the seller's tirzepatide, semaglutide and retatrutide unapproved new drugs.¹⁶
