A THC Lemonade Slush: Frozen Strawberry Canna-nade

A two-glass strawberry lemonade slush with one trick: the tincture is blended into the fruit before the ice, so both servings carry the same dose.

This THC lemonade recipe makes two frozen strawberry slushes in one blender. The trick is the order: the tincture goes in with the fruit and lemonade, before the ice, so it spreads through the batch and both glasses carry the same dose. Think of it as frozen cannabis lemonade for a hot day, with a measured infusion.

Dosing a THC lemonade recipe for two

Decide on the total first: the THC in the tincture you add, divided by two glasses. THC doesn't dissolve in water, so a tincture added last may not mix evenly through a thick slush. Blending it into the fruit base first spreads it out before the ice goes in. Our cannabis tincture guide explains labels and droppers.

Then sip slowly. An infused drink often needs half an hour, and sometimes two full hours, before it registers, and that delay is exactly why it's easy to have too much. Finish one glass and wait. Our THC dosage guide can help you settle on a starting amount.

What you need

Frozen strawberries, sugar or simple syrup, lemonade (or cold water plus fresh lemon juice), ice and a THC tincture with mg per ml on its label. Frozen berries make a thicker slush with less ice. Shopping for a tincture? Look at your nearest High Society store's online menu before you go, since selection varies by store, and order ahead for in-store or curbside pickup.

How to blend it

Blend the strawberries, sugar and lemonade until smooth. Add the measured tincture and blend again. Add the ice last and blend just until slushy, then pour two equal glasses.

Variations

  • Watermelon: frozen watermelon cubes in place of strawberries, with less sugar.
  • Peach: frozen peaches and a squeeze of lime.
  • Mint: a few fresh mint leaves blended with the fruit.
  • Syrup instead of tincture: a measured infused simple syrup sweetens and doses at once, so skip the sugar.
  • Ice pops: freeze extra in molds, like our cannabis-infused popsicles, with the estimated dose per pop on the label.

Storage and labeling

Serve it right away, since a slush separates as it melts. Pour any extra into a freezer bag labeled 'contains THC' with the dose and date, freeze it flat and re-blend before serving. Keep it on a high shelf away from children and pets, and if someone drinks it by accident, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make sure each glass has the same dose?

Blend the tincture into the fruit and lemonade before the ice, then blend again once the ice is in, so the batch is uniform. Pour both glasses at the same time and fill them to the same level. If one ends up fuller, even them out before anyone takes a sip.

Can I use infused simple syrup instead of tincture?

Yes. Swap the sugar for a measured amount of infused simple syrup, which sweetens and doses at once. Work out the THC in the syrup you add, divide it by two glasses, and blend it in before the ice, just as you would a tincture. Homemade syrup is an estimate, so start low.

Can I make a big batch?

You can, but blending in rounds of two keeps every dose measured. A full pitcher makes the dose per glass harder to control, and it melts before it's finished. If you do batch it, label the pitcher as infused, note the dose per cup, and serve it with a measuring cup.
