One of the most common reasons for dry eye is the blockage of our Meibomian Glands. These glands are found along the eyelids and produce the oily part of our tears. Without this layer of the tear film, our tears evaporate too quickly off the surface of our eyes, thus causing symptoms of dryness.
We offer a Lid Cleansing procedure at the Eye Source. This procedure helps to open up your blocked glands so that the oily part of your tear film can be produced more effectively. It’s like a facial for your eyes!
